To all those people who have taken the time to fill in our online submission the Outdoor Loving Australians and Seafood Lovers thankyou! Now we wait to see the outcome, but be assured your voice has been heard!
A simple statement: "Australians are Outdoor LOVING people!"
I mean why wouldn't you be? Fantastic climate, incredible landscapes, extensive terrestrial and marine environments. Being outdoors and enjoying this unbelievable country is as much a part of Australian culture as having a beer and BBQ.
Do you love Fishing, Hunting, Four Wheel Driving, Spearfishing, Camping, Boating, Motorcycling or just simply LOVE fresh SEAFOOD?
Then we KNOW you have either been affected, or soon will be by the RELENTLESS push of those that can only be termed as UN-Australian to prevent you enjoying Australia.
Will you fight like the Aussie Diggers before us to protect your rights as an Australian? Perhaps that seems dramatic, but our rights AS AUSTRALIANS to enjoy Australia are slowly but surely being eroded EVERY day.
IT STOPS HERE and it STOPS NOW!
This website is just the start of something MUCH BIGGER. It has been established to make Australian voices heard on the proposed changes to the Solitary Islands Marine Park. It will be expanded to address the concerns of the majority of Australians on a broad range of LOCK OUT issues. Let's face we are all SICK to death of it!
We believe the outcome will be landmark and be the turning of the "green" tide, but we need YOU to make a submission.
We have prepared a submission for you that details how "we", the outdoor-loving people of Australia, would like to see our Marine Parks amended. NOT how the GREENS would like to blindly push to have you completely ban from fishing (and other outdoor activities) altogether. Make NO mistake that is their ultimate agenda.
This submission has been prepared by the Professional and Recreational Anglers and Spearfishers of the area who have an intricate knowledge of the effect these changes will have. It included input from, but not limited to:
- Coffs Harbour Deep Sea Fishing Club
- Coffs Harbour Fishermans Coop
- Coffs Harbour Bluewater Freedivers
- Woolgoolga Deep Sea Fishing Club
- Wooli/Minnie Waters Fishing Club
- Professional Fishermen from Coffs Harbour, Woolgoolga and Minnie Waters/Wooli
